These are the rules for using BeenYet. By using it, you agree to them. Our Privacy page explains what we do with your data.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account, and you need to be at least 13. One account per person. Keep your Google account secure, because anyone who can sign in to it can use your BeenYet.

Getting in

New people join through a member's invite link or from the waitlist. We decide who gets in from the waitlist, and we can pause sign-ups at any time.

Your stuff

The places, ratings, notes and lists you add are yours. You let us store them and show them to you, and to your friends as described on the Privacy page, so the app works. That's all we use them for.

Be decent

• Don't post anything illegal, hateful or harassing, or anything that isn't yours to share.
• Use "Ask" to ask friends real questions, not to spam them.
• Don't try to break, overload, scrape or get around the limits of BeenYet, or get into other people's accounts.

We can remove content or close accounts that break these rules.

Opinions and place info

Ratings and recommendations are people's opinions. Place details like addresses and opening hours come from OpenStreetMap and other sources and can be wrong or out of date, so check before you go.

The service

BeenYet is a small, new app. We provide it as it is, without promises that it will always be available or error-free. We may change or remove features. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses or for anything that happens at the places you visit.

Leaving

You can stop using BeenYet at any time. Delete your account any time in Account → Delete account; or email privacy@beenyet.com.
